Mozart in London
T0396045733
250 years ago in 1764 Leopold Mozart brought the eight-year-old Wolfgang and his sister Nannerl to London. They provided lucrative entertainment during their 15 month stay. Whilst there, Mozart met JC Bach who remained a lifelong influence. Our musical portrait is complemented by commentary and correspondence of the period. Programme includes Wolfgang's first concerto and a sonata for keyboard and violin, arias and quintets by JC Bach and Mozart's piano concerto K414. Mozart in London is the first in a series of special musical evenings curated by one of the leading figures in early music, Trevor Pinnock.
