This year's Chorus festival explores how coming together to sing can change the world. Whether it enables a stranger to become your friend, or provokes a revolution as thousands of people sing forbidden songs in town squares, singing together has a power like nothing else. This year's festival is packed with opportunities for you to sing, as well as to simply listen and be inspired. Try out a different workshop every day - from Voicelab's Big Sing to South African freedom songs, and lots more besides. Celebrate the 21st anniversary of the London Gay Men's Chorus in a spectacular gala concert. Encounter projects that have enabled personal as well as societal transformations through singing, whether with homeless people, refugees, people affected by mental health issues, women across different faiths, or people with dementia and their carers. Hear some amazing choral music, including a 440-year-old Renaissance masterpiece and a truly contemporary take on massed voices in ESKA's English Skies. Find out more about Estonia's Singing Revolution and the extraordinary story of the first Afro-American choir to tour the UK in the late 19th century.
