Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ 10 Naxos Quartets will be performed for the first time as a complete cycle in celebration of the composer’s 75th birthday at Southbank Centre. The works will be performed over one weekend (9 – 11 October) by 10 young string quartets from the Park Lane Group (PLG) and the Maggini Quartet, for which the cycle was commissioned.
