The Crock of Gold

T227643058
The Crock of Gold will start not in daylight but at dusk. Part theatre, part outdoor installation, the audience is invited to join the performance in the twilight space of each park just as it is closing to the public. To capture the magical transition from day to night, the start time of the performance will change as the nights draw in. The Crock of Gold is an Irish novel written in 1912 by James Stephens. Mischievous yet hauntingly beautiful, its story tells of a wise philosopher, embroiled in a prank that gets out of hand, who journeys through a forest, encountering the Great God Pan, the police, and the leprechauns, desperate for the return of their gold. He also liberates his senses, long forgotten by his mind.
