Buttercup welcomes us aboard HMS Pinafore where we meet Ralph Rackstraw, a common sailor. Ralph has fallen in love with Josephine, the Captain’s daughter, much to the distain of Sir Joseph Porter KCB who fancies her for himself. Observe the Pirate King, Frederick and the Pirates of Penzance who create havoc amongst a bevy of beautiful maidens bathing on a rocky shore, before being thwarted by the antics of the terrified Sergeant of Police and his members of the force.
