Details

Come share the Cornish Christmases throughout the life of Mr Herbert Thomas, editor of The Cornishman newspaper for over forty years. Mr Thomas was quite the local celebrity, a poet, mining expert, songwriter, adventurer and very much a larger-than-life local character, as you will come to see. It's Christmas Eve 1950 and over many glasses of rum n' shrub, a very elderly Mr Thomas shares the story of his life with his housekeeper Mrs Stringer. This show brings together historical Christmas newspaper stories, advertisements, photographs, and music for a jolly multi-media performance bursting with nostalgic Christmas magic.
