Jasmin Vardimon Company formed JV2 with the mission to develop, encourage and cultivate young talent. The only UK based dance company to offer a full-time one-year professional development certificate, JVC provides participants with a unique opportunity to train as versatile and multi-disciplinary performers and to learn the technical foundations of dance theatre as well as the specific approach developed by Jasmin Vardimon. Including the touring of new repertoire developed specifically for the group, participants also learn how to educate through Jasmin Vardimon Company methods, building confidence as dance educators for future generations. The JVC Certificate aims to develop performers who will be selected to enter the Jasmin Vardimon Company, go forward to lead educational work under the JVC umbrella, or continue as successful performers in their chosen path.

A Triple Bill: (in between)/AoE/Vinicius Salles

With the mission to develop, encourage and cultivate young talent and young audiences, Jasmin Vardimon Company has formed JV2, delivering a Professional Development Certificate. This year's JV2, is an ensemble of 16 young, talented international dancers, hand-picked by Artistic Director Jasmin Vardimon. JV2 2016 features Jasmin Vardimon's work (in between) ? first created for the National Youth Dance Company in 2013 and premiered at Sadlers Wells. Trapped in flux between the force of the group and the power of the individual, the work echoes relationships between humans and the natural environment. AFE, Ashford-based dance company founded in 2013 by Esteban Fourmi and Aoi Nakamura presents a work that questions the notion of presence and the realms of studio to performance and Vinicius Salles offers an inquiry of social judgments, acceptance of differences, and superficial assumptions of the "other".
