Brains: The Stuff that Minds are Made on archiveHow do we understand the 'three pounds of interwoven nerve cell each of us carry within our skulls? What is the difference between 'brain' and 'mind'? For 400 years the philosophical/scientific debate has raged. Follow that journey through this unique fusion of science and theatre. These three on-act playlets dramatise crucial debates in the history of brain science. Stated to celebrate National Brain Awareness Week and sponsored by the Royal Society and the British Association for the Advancement of Science, the performance will be accompanied by a special exhibition about the brain and a chance to put your question to a leading brain scientist. No special scientific knowledge is needed. Supported by a Millennium Fellowship Award to increase the public understanding of science.
