Changeable Taffeta archiveThis experimental piece of theatre will explore the role of costume within the play Twelfth Night, with particular reference to women dressing as men, androgyny, and how, when pulled to the extreme, these themes affect the outcome of the play. Predominantly set in the 1940s, this piece has been adapted from the original Twelfth Night text with costume and cross-dressing in mind, and will prove to be very different from Twelfth Night as Shakespeare intended! All roles will be played by women and there will be lots of attention paid to the way they act when playing men on stage.
