Each year a group of steam train enthusiasts spend two weeks of their holidays working as volunteers on the narrow gauge railway in the Lakes. Their interest in steam is all they share, in an attempt at male bonding in the confined surroundings of the ex-railway carriage lodging. But we see beyond the thin facade of bonhomie as each of the characters reveals his true self. Jonathan Hall's work has been enjoyed several times by local audiences and he has received Fringe First Awards for 'Nativity' and 'Statements of Attainment'.
