Family Ties archiveThree One Act Plays. Turning The Handle - An Edwardian Lady looks back, remembering her parents, the love of her life and the times they shared together. One of four, one woman, plays which together form the show, "Glimpse". A review from the Argus in 2000 described this show as ?a hit from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with drama, suspense and genuine laughs.' ?Glimpse is graspable, engrossing and very entertaining.' Pearl - Richard and Liz are celebrating their 30th - Pearl - Wedding anniversary, looking at snapshots which bring their memories to life for everyone. But this year, Liz finds a long forgotten photo and remembers something they have not shared before... what is it that she does not want to remember? What will happen after this revelation? Will they overcome this, or will it destroy them? What's For Pudding? - Jack and Mary are preparing themselves for yet another boring night in when the doorbell rings unexpectedly. What follows is a series of anarchic, comic revelations, as we meet their friends Ted and Maureen, and the foursome proceed to get the wrong side of a bottle of whisky. Their antics are witnessed by a bemused Dennis, who only turns up to order a pair of brown flared trousers from Mary's catalogue, but ends up with a lot more than he bargained for.
