Using home movies, interviews, letters and tapes from friends, alongside recordings of world events, Instructions for Forgetting is an intimate documentary performed in a space strewn with video monitors, VCRs and video cassettes. Part essay, part narrative, this is a surprising and comic performance, a link between personal and public history.
