Details

Ivory Wings archiveIvory Wings is a one-woman show with a live piano score. It explores Alzheimer's and the therapeutic effects of music on patients' memory, whilst celebrating the remarkable women of the Air Transport Auxiliary whose job it was to deliver wartime aircraft from the factories to the RAF bases during World War II. Throughout the play, the protagonist, Virginia, drifts between her elderly Alzheimer's state and her 28-year-old self, looking back at her time flying Spitfires and Hurricanes, her memories triggered by music.
