Seven Against Thebes archiveThis powerful contemporary version of Aeschylus's original was published in Cuba in 1968, having won the prestigious Casa de las Americas prize for drama. But the play has never been performed. As in the Aeschylus, there is enormous tension between the fighters and the terror of the women of the city.
