T306427630Strip Search - a solo performance piece for male stripper, by Peter Scott-Presland. SQUADDIE is stripping tonight, in a B-list gay bar; he is also stripping his soul, to the bone. As he slips back and forth between his real-time strip routine and memories of borstal, of tours in Iraq, and of surviving on the streets post-discharge from the Army, we get a moving and angry picture of a man trying to better himself in a life which gave him no lucky breaks, with ironic contrasts between the real-life soldier and the military fantasy of his entertainment. Fantasy and reality combine in a savage climax. This is a heavily revised version of a script first presented in 2010.Producer Homo Promos. Performer Titus Rowe.

T01699399741Squaddie is a stripper, he’s good, and he knows it. Squaddie was a soldier once, in a life that seems a long time ago. He was with his mate, Christian, who was injured in Iraq and died in a squat in Brixton with no-one to hold his hand. Is Squaddie gay? Course not. Tonight Squaddie is stripping. To the bone. This one-man show starring Titus Rowe, last seen at The Rosie last summer in Here I'll Stay: Kurt Weill in America alternates between the stage show Squaddie is giving in a gay bar, and the story of his life as he remembers it. WARNING: It contains very strong language and nudity. Don't come if you might get offended.Producer Rosemary Branch. Director Roger Scales. Performer Titus Rowe.
