The Ark and The Covenant archiveSo where is the Ark in which Moses placed the Ten Commandments? Cambridge academic Kauffman believes he knows. He has decoded one of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and near Qumran, he sets about the task of uncovering this mysterious lost treasure. On hand is his assistant Yorke, and an American physicist, Jay. The play asks; was Moses Egyptian? Is there a link between ancient Egypt and quantum physics? Is a woman's choice between two men more important than ancient history or modern physics? The Ark and the Covenant is a provocative play that deftly dramatises deep concerns of faith, conjecture, theory and science, through the personal, emotional narrative that develops between characters both past and present. It slips fluidly into history, and shows Moses and Aaron struggling with their belief and destiny. The Ark and The Covenant website.
