She responded with a string of peculiar things sent in the post- hoping he would understand the language, appreciate the different levels of communication, symbolism, references to his work etcetera... He didn t. The Flickering Truths celebrates the humiliation of rejection and asks questions about the unspoken rules of society. It employs rich poetic language, comicality, mellifluousness and simple puppetry. Age 12+
