The Jeweller archiveThe Jeweller is a modern adaptation of the rarely performed Polish play The Jeweller's Shop, written in 1960 by Karol Wojtyla. Wojtyla later became Pope John Paul II. Three couples, each in different stages of their relationship, come into contact with the mystical figure of the jeweller. The play is a powerful and moving portrait of love and responsibility, marriage and breakdown, human frailty and divine influence, from the mind of one of the most influential figures of the 20th century, here given a contemporary, engaging twist.
