The Life After archiveOnce upon a time a small voice cried out. What happens at the end of the story? The Bristol Old Vic Young Company dive into a sea of imagination and take you on an epic journey in this ambitious devised production. Through whispering forests, to a love story in a jealous lake we follow a young boy who won't let his mother go and battles death into a nutshell. Bursting at the seams with invention and a cast of over a hundred, the company serenade, animate and ask what lies beyond the here and now. The Life After explores loss and change, be it as monumental as death, or seemingly incidental, like the opening of the first daffodils in spring. Each is explored with curiosity, fearlessness and, just occasionally, outright silliness. We witness moments of pure joy, devastation and subtle events that transform our world. A celebration of what it means to be alive.
