The Young Idea archiveGerda and Sholto love their parents, George and Jennifer dearly. Unfortunately, they have been divorced for fourteen years and now George is married to Cicely. Undeterred, the two bright young things conspire to bring about a reconciliation as they travel from Jennifer's Italian villa to George's country house, scandalising the country set and helping the bumpy course of true love. First performed in 1923, this play is quintessential Coward comedy.
