This is the corner where the insects live. When Spider is contacted by a medium with a message from cyberspace about her dead mother, Spider's 10 years as a party animal grinds to a halt. Despite losing her sound system, her family, her boyfriend and nearly her life, following an accident in her lorry, Spider is determined to aspire to the spiritual: "All communication is within my grasp: my web vibrates in one small corner of space and yet it extends across the earth."
