What's a Heaven For? archiveThe young and adventurous Charles Darwin has received joyful news regarding his application to join the crew of HMS Beagle on her voyage of discovery around the world. The captain, Robert FitzRoy, is especially happy to have aboard someone of Charles' standing - someone of lively wit who will both divert him from the tedium of a lengthy journey, and also distract him from the mortal fears that prey on him constantly. However, Plymouth is not far astern before the two discover that they are on a collision course of ideals. Their individual destinies of historic rise and tragic fall are drawn.
