Without Planning Permission: Actors v Spectators archiveFeaturing up to twenty improvisers (and one musician) this show takes interactive performance into a new dimension. Spectators enter the space to find performances triggered by their presence. If a spectator sits at a table, a character comes to it and engages with that spectator. The spectator learns that he or she is someone in that character's life. There is a dilemma or a problem to be resolved, a story to be heard. The spectator can choose - to be passive and observe - or to engage and influence. Each table is a different location - the House of Commons, the deck of a ship, a priest's front room, a war zone, a café. Spectators may move between tables or simply observe the encounters taking place there.
