Worm's Eye View archiveIt is 1942 and the North Country sea-side landlady Mrs Bounty is not at all pleased at being compulsority billeted with airmen and is determined to keep them under control and above all to keep her pretty daughter Bella out of their sight. But all her laid plans are soon swept away by the group of boisterous aircrew that are forced upon her. The old piano in the palour is soon being used for naughty NAAFI songs, black market stockings and underwear mysteriously appear and to top all this Bella falls in love with Corporal Mark Trelawney. This delightful comedy soon turns to farce as Mark's mates help him to engineer a date with Bella without her battle-axe mother finding out.. But of course all goes disasterously wrong and not until the last side-splitting moment do we know if boy gets girl.
