Yesterday Never Returns archiveIn 1914 an ex pupil of Lewis Boys School in Bargoed, went to France to fight for his country in the 'war to end all wars.' He never returned . A hundred years later another ex Lewis boy joined the army to fight in Afghanistan and lived to tell the tale. Their stories and their experiences are shadowed by MORGAN JONES, another ex Lewis boy who refused to fight and spent the duration of the Great War in prison but went on to become MP for Caerphilly. This specially written new drama takes you into the trenches of the Somme and to the frontline in Afghanistan and always back to the family and friends left behind, particularly the women who even without their men - never stopped dancing - the Turkey Trot, the Grizzly Bear and the Bunny Hug.
