A chance to hear a reading of the latest play by Christopher Fry, who at 93 is one of the country's oldest practising playwrights. The dawning of the twenty-first century is examined through the inhabitants of a small hotel on millennium eve. In topics ranging from Christmas in the First World War trenches to Stephen Hawking s Big Bang theory, Fry sums up his vision of a turbulent century - most of which he has seen first hand - and also celebrates the influence, and his life-long love of, Bunyan s Pilgrim s Progress, the book from which he learned to read.
