Sit back and listen to Shelly Organ, virtuoso bassoonist with a long-standing connection with Mid-Somerset, playing solo in Weber’s delightfully melodic Bassoon Concerto, headline in a fizzing selection which also includes charming overtures and interludes from the world of opera and operetta, Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, Bizet’s Carmen and Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. Then help us finish off the evening, and the MSO season, in traditional Last Night style.
