Outstanding circus skills combine with historical Chinese artistry, martial arts and theatre to bring the oriental tale of Confucius to Worthing. The Chinese National Circus focuses on renowned historic personalities as the figurehead of each show. Genghis Khan, The Last Emperor and Marco Polo have all been presented to create colourful and breathtaking displays of ancient heritage and circus excitement. Most recently they presented Buddha which met with rave reviews and brought a more spiritual dynamic to their spectacular show. The new production Confucius is inspired by the sayings of the philosopher Confucius whose sayings which were collected by his students and published after his death. These sayings underpin each breathtaking act in the circus as an introduction to the artistes' amazing performances. Confucius said: "Before beginning, you must have your heart, hand and thoughts in all your muscles", each artiste uses this belief to bring vibrance, power and excitement to their role.
