Details

The Croydon Symphonic Band is now one of the leading and most respected community bands in the UK having gained three Gold Awards in the last four years at the finals of the National Concert Band Festival in Manchester. It has been many years since Croydon has had an outdoor bandstand upon which local bands could perform. For the second concert of their 27th season at Fairfield, Croydon Symphonic Band will bring the music of the bandstand to the concert stage and we can guarantee it will not rain! In addition to traditional band music, which will include Suite No 2 in F by Holst, the programme will include bandstand classics such as Espana by Chabrier and Hunting Polka by Strauss together with popular marches and music from stage and screen.

It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
