Alan Barnes is a key figure on the British jazz scene and has won numerous awards, including the prestigious BBC Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year award in 2001 and 2006. It is a delight to invite him back to the Festival with his all-star octet playing new arrangements of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn gems.
