The Light Fingered Philosopher is a sharp witty look at life, love, fraud and sex as two young Londoners set their own slant on Tony Blair's enterprise culture. Revolving around the best friendship of Peter, a gay man, and Kim, a straight woman, the play explores their relationship with each other and with their partners; their hopes and expectations for the future and ultimately their professional and personal insecurities. Is their mutual love and attraction for each other controlled by the manipulative nature of the stronger character? Can their long friendship survive when one of them is raped and the other is faced with a moral dilemma? And what of the other people in their lives..all treading the fragile path of life, leading to betrayal with devastating consequences.
