The Fall were long associated with BBC disc jockey John Peel, who remained a devoted fan from early on in their career. Citing them as his favourite band he once famously said "They are always different, they are always the same." Formed in Prestwich, Greater Manchester in 1976 The Fall are still going strong after thirty years. Built around founder and frontman Mark E Smith, this iconic post-punk outfit remain one of Britain's most distinctive bands. For over 30 years, Mark E Smith and his Fall have evolved into a very British cult phenomenon. The champion of anti political correctness, but imbued with a mystical and Kabalistic obsession with words, this self taught working class boy has learnt to form a quite uniquely radical mind. The world of The Fall is a Phantasmagoria.
