Details
In post WWI London, two frustrated housewives, Lottie and Rose, decide to rent a villa in Italy for a month to escape their humdrum lives and crumbling marriages. Needing to cover the cost of their adventure, they recruit a pair of independent upper-class women, Lady Caroline Bramble and Mrs Graves, to share the experience. Once in picturesque Tuscany, among the wisteria blossoms and Mediterranean sunshine, all four women at first clash - but then, inspired by their new surroundings, begin to bloom, rediscovering themselves in ways that they could never have expected.
