Composed in 1896, Also Sprach Zarathustra is a tone poem based on Nietzsche's controversial novel of the same name, which famously declared that 'God is dead.' Now with the popularity of 2001: Space Odyssey, the work has a new lease of life - symbolising scientific progress and human endeavour. Finishing the programme, rising star Urska Horvat performs Dvora's last solo concerto following her winning performance in the Trinity Laban soloists' competition this year.
