Details
Two families endure the oppression of Romanian Dictator Ceausescu's regime. The play reveals the dreadful damage done to people's lives during the 1989 revolution and the aftermath. A strong advocate of the workshop process, Churchill took the original cast to Romania to understand the tensions firsthand. The resulting improvisations were then incorporated into the script.
