Originally created by choreographer Norman Douglas, The Ensemble Group aims to create and find diverse opportunities for dance and movement. The basic working tool is choreography but the result is not necessarily pure dance. Nine dancers, four new pieces and three choreographers come together to present a celebration of movement and dance. Wishing for the Moon, combines the traditions of classical ballet, the drama of a classical music score and the colour and energy of modern dance. Influences range from Vivaldi to passionate gypsy music and the powerful music of Ravel.
