Some Girls are Bigger than Others - Music Theatre archiveImagine Morrissey and Marr's songs as a two-way mirror propped up in the mid-eighties - reflecting back to the half-remembered mysteries of childhood and forward to the bleak confusions of adulthood. Two men and four women pass backwards and forwards, Alice-like, through the glistening images of these extraordinary songs in a struggle to piece together their fractured lives. Arranged for string quartet and rhythmic loops the songs are stripped bare and torn open by an international cast of singers, actors, dancers and musicians to reveal a world of secret anxieties and desires. Some Girls are Bigger than Others is music and movement for grown-ups. Songs by Morrissey and Marr. Conceived and created by Anonymous Society. Running time: approximately 90 minutes
