'How can I believe in God when last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter? One of the world s great comics and film-makers, Woody Allen has created two hilarious plays. Constantly confused about everything (himself, the universe, women, dentists...) the all-time loser meets the mysteries of creation and the demands of a violent society with riotous aplomb. Death - Kleinman just wants a good night s sleep, it being a work day tomorrow. Instead, he is thrown into a crisis, but no-one will tell him what to do. Events spiral out of control, and it s not very safe in the streets of New York after dark! God - Is there a divine being with plans for us all? Are we just characters in someone s play?
