First performed 1720. Radamisto and his wife Zenobia are devoted to each other. Tiridate is married to Radamisto's sister but is in love with Zenobia and invades in order to capture her. Other crossed lovers and faked death occur in this early Handel Italian style opera. Sung in English, new production. Sponsor (2000): Opera North Fourndation.
