Formed in 1986 in the Black Country, The Wonder Stuff have were embraced from the beginning by the rock press, with hit albums including Hup, Circlesquare and Never Loved Elvis, which included the hit singles Welcome to the Cheap Seats (a collaboration with Kirsty MacColl) and the Top 5 hit Size of a Cow. This was followed by a more unexpected team-up with Vic Reeves, leading to the No 1 hit Dizzy in 1991. Reforming in 2000, with original singer Miles Hunt joined by Malcolm Treece, Andres Karu, Mark McCarthy and Erica Nockalls, The Wonder Stuff have continued to plough their own musical furrow of indie-rock-folk.
