CORONAVIRUS: 22Feb21 UpdateAll UK venues closed on 16th March 2020. After the Prime Minister's announcement it would appear that, subject to continued control of the virus, venues may re-open with social distancing and limits on audiences from 17th May. Social distancing restrictions may be removed from 21st June. We will continue to update our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as/when they are reported.
In the well-known tale taken from the Old Testament's Book of Judges, Samson, one of the oppressed Jews, displays a unique strength when he kills Abimelech, one of the ruling Philistines. With Samson already under the spell of the beautiful Dalila, the High Priest of Dagon has her use her allure to discover the secret of Samson's power. Betrayed by Dalila and overpowered by the Philistines, Samson is paraded in his weakness into the temple. With a final prayer to God, enough strength returns for him to bring the temple crashing down on the heads of his enemies. Sung in French with English surtitles.
