Inside Out archiveAffy and Di are teenage schoolgirls who yearn to escape their violent family for a better life. Close friends and sisters, they share their hopes and dreams and make plans for the future. But when Affy gets an offer of a new family in another town, she jumps at the chance, leaving Di to deal with the consequences on her own. The result of this betrayal has a devastating impact on Di's life and the two young women are separated for many years. It is only when they get back together again as adults that they can make sense of their past and move some way towards forgiveness. But has their friendship been lost forever?
