A Funny thing happened on the way to the Scottish Parliament. Bruce Fummey has become renowned for inspiring stirring patriotism and hilarious laughter at the same time. Each year’s tour has left audiences reeling with laughter and jigging to a new look at our national psyche: About Tam O’Shanter, About the Jacobites and About Robert the Bruce have included five star reviews and sell out runs at the Edinburgh Festival. This year dips into the ancient Picts, Mary Queen of Scots, Robert Burns, how we changed the world, independence and those naughty English. All of this wrapped in some national stereotypes and a bit of wha’s like, us all deep fried in batter. This show is not suitable for children.
