Lots of strange and exciting things seem to happen to Jilly whenever she goes to stay with her gran. When she finds a magic hat belonging to Helga. The Horrible Hag, she finds herself having to outwit her. Along the way she meets Oscar the Operatic Octopus, Vincent the Anamic Vampire Bat and Larry and Mystic Lobster.
