The range, power and soulfulness of Mica Paris voice was clear when her debut album, So Good went platinum in 1988; with You Are My One Temptation her first top ten hit. The smash Where Is the Love followed and collaborations with David Gilmour, Prince, Jools Holland and James Morrison. She s performed in the West End and had the most successful UK soul and R&B radio show. She has a British Academy of Composers and Songwriters Gold Badge Award for special contribution to the British entertainment industry and made the Top 10 of the 100 Great Black Britons. A judge on Gok Wan's Miss Naked Beauty, she performed at the Duke of Edinburgh s recent 90th birthday and the Albert Hall Dusty Springfield celebration - her All I See Is You rendition brought the sell-out London crowd to its feet.
