An unforgettable evening of splendour and nostalgia that will make you proud to be British and have you singing in the stalls. The Mayor of Peterborough, Councillor Paula Thacker MBE, will host the annual ?Last Night of the Proms' on Sunday 22 April 2012. The event will raise money for her chosen charities: Royal British Legion Women's Section and Find a Cure for Alex, Kidney Research UK The Mayor is delighted to welcome the RAF Wyton Area Voluntary Band who are a group of enthusiastic volunteers from the East of England based in Cambridgeshire. The band will be playing the usual favourites from the Last Night of the Proms along with a selection of pieces. A prize raffle will be held during the evening.
