What makes you feel trapped? Inspired by the Grimm fairy tale, Goddard Nixon's Fitcher's Bird is a duet peppered with visions of the sub-conscious, in a dark journey towards freedom and a hymn to resilience. The score, written for orchestra and solo violin, by composers John Matthias and Nick Ryan, takes inspiration from the rhythmic patterns of neurons firing inside the brain to create musical signposts for the composition. Jose Agudo's Time/Dropper is a subtle interplay between movement and light, which creates fragmentation and distortion of time. Agudo is transported through a visual collection of memories, combining highly physical choreography with poignant moments of intimacy.
