What does it mean to be a football fan? To live through the crushing lows and exhilarating highs? To turn up, week after week, and lend your voice? Roar! will be an original performance made with a core company of football fans, led by Molly Taylor, that tells the story of the sacrifice, heroism & devotion it takes to support a team, from amateur level to the top tier of English football. Created in partnership with local football enthusiasts and supporters, Roar! will explore the hope, the humour and the heartache of being devoted to something bigger than you. Perhaps you follow your team home & away, or you've been priced out of the game, or you've sat next to the same person for 25 years. If you've been there, you'll have a story to tell. We're looking to create a tapestry of stories based on the experiences of local football fans and are keen to hear from followers of all teams in the Liverpool City Region. Keen supporters of youth and amateur football teams; across leagues and communities such as Prescot Cables, Merseyrail Ladies FC, City of Liverpool FC and Marine; right through to Everton, Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers fans are all invited to take part.
