Dodo Modern Poets appear regularly at the Poetry Café in Covent Garden. Patric Cunnane lives locally to Wimbledon and is also a journalist. He regularly brings together premier performers on the contemporary poetry circuit as the Dodo Modern Poets for performances that are always surprising, stimulating and liberally peppered with fun. This sparkling and eclectic programme of performance poetry, which includes some music, includes Project Adorno – a duo of quirky beat poets, Sue Johns who brings a sense of theatre to her words, Emile Sercombe – master of wordplay and surreal imagery, Rachel Pantechnicon – winner of the 2004 Glastonbury Poetry Slam and in a class of her own and finally Patric Cunnane – a passionate people’s poet and the inspiration behind Dodo Modern Poets.
