Jasmin Vardimon Company (JVC) is one of Britain's most pioneering physical dance theatre companies, creating work that excites both the eye and the mind by pushing the boundaries of human physicality whilst engaging in universal, contemporary themes that strike an emotional chord. Vardimon's powerful art of story-telling integrates multiple layers of communication - combining dance, movement, video, animation, text and music. Her sharp instincts and keen observations of human behaviour deliver beautifully precise characterisation, powerfully brought to life by her company of versatile dancers. Cast from around the world, each performer brings his/her own unique experience, with dynamic results. LureLureLure presents a seemingly happy family on their annual camping trip. A daughter remembers her way around her neurotic mother, hyperactive sister and well meaning father. Vardimon brings out her sharp wit and closely observed humanity with this family ensemble. Tete has wowed audiences around the world. This haunting, sexually taut dance drama, danced to the extreme is based around the manipulative character of the enchantress Salome. Jasmin Vardimon is a Yorkshire Dance Partner. LureLureLure is an Oval House commission in association with the Green Room and Now 2000. Co-production Kampnagel. Supported by DanceXchange, London Arts Board, The Place and Yorkshire Arts. Funded by the Arts Council of England. Tete is a Place commission. Supported by London Arts Board and Oval House.
